Midlife Crisis

Existentialism comes from the philosophy that is concerned with our existence.  Five main aspects include:

1.     Freedom

2.     Choice

3.     Responsibility

4.     Death, or our own mortality

5.     Meaning of Life

A midlife crisis can hit us as early as the 30’s and there can be more than one in the course of a lifetime.  An existential crisis smacks us in the head and basically ask: “So what are you going to do with the rest of your life?”.  Since life is finite, what would give us the most satisfaction?  How can we spend our time in a way that would increase our sense of joy and aliveness?  How can we use this internal crisis to bring growth and ultimately, self-fulfillment?  What is the quest (or questions) in our life that needs to be answered?
