Just think: We have between 3-5 dreams every night complete with symbols, characters, and story lines. We create dream symbols and images that are unique to us. Yet, we never worry or obsess thinking "Oh my, what am I going to dream about tonight?? I've run out of ideas!!"
No need to fret. Our unconscious is brilliant and never runs out of "stories". We spend about 1/3 of our lives in bed sleeping and approximately 1/3 of that time is spent in an altered state of consciousness; i.e., dreamland. Since our dreams contain raw information from our unconsciousness, it serves us to pay attention!! Our dreams may mirror what is happening in our everyday life. Therefore, we want to identify first what the feelings are in any given dream. Then we can explore the quality of the dream and who the characters may represent. The person most qualified to interpret a dream is the dreamer, since they created the dream. Like Native American Indians, it can be helpful to talk about our dreams, sharing insights and exploring the realms of our journey into the endlessly intriguing dreamland.
