Depression & Anxiety

Many people at some point in their lives experience depression.

The symptoms include:

·       Sad or depressed mood

·       Insomnia or sleeping too much

·       A loss of interest in things that were previously enjoyable

·       Feelings of hopelessness

·       Loss of energy or motivation

·       Low self-esteem or diminished feelings of self worth

Depression can strike when a person experiences a major loss or due to unresolved painful conflicts from childhood.  Anti-depressant medication can be helpful, as well as working through the depression in therapy.  Most people do not stay suck forever.  In fact, much growth often occurs when a person works through a depressive episode.  There is light at the end of the tunnel.
